This week, I had a few hours to finish completing a product that I have been working on for a while and I was super excited to get it posted. My Reading Response Newspapers are up. I have found that these are a nice alternative to the Reading Response Notebooks that I usually use with my class, especially when I want to post the student's work for a bulletin board. Here are a few samples.
The first sample offers a unique strategy for students to compare characters with text to self connections. In the "newspaper" below, the students are able to draw a mirror image of themselves and a character in the book. I love how my model turned out!
Click on the following pictures to download a FREE sample from this product. There is a character conflict chart along with the newspaper that allows students to analyze the conflict/rising action/solution. Enjoy!!!!
How do you teach conflict in your classroom?
Hi Susie I just found your blog on Five for Friday. Happy birthday your b-day meal looks delicious. I'm loving your Reading Response Newspaper pack. And I have to commend you on having a 2 year old & a 6 week old. For that alone you are truly inspiring. My son turned 2 in March & I could not even fathom having an infant at the same time. How do you find time to make fabulous products too? Goes to show that moms & teachers really are Super Heros. Glad to be a new follower.

Stephanie, Hi! Thank you so much...I totally agree my husband and I didn't think this baby thing through having a 6 week old and a 2 year old at the same time(it is crazy), LOL. No, but really it is a blessing and we are loving the chaos I guess. I think the creating products part actually keeps me sane, ha! Thanks so much for stopping by...I'm going to pop over to your blog right now. :-)
